#23 Amy Lawton - Don’t Bring Louise

20-year-old Amy Lawton started her music career in her hometown of Manchester, where she began writing poems and short stories from a young age. She’s been working over the last two years with producer Matty Benbrook (Dido, Paolo Nutini and Jack Savoretti) and is her new single ‘Don’t Bring Louise’ is an upbeat country-pop love song that reflects upon the desire to meet a new partner after a relationship has ended.

Amy takes inspiration from artists such as Suzanne Vega, Alanis Morrisette and Taylor Swift, and puts her own spin on the country sound, moulding it into her unique and modern country-pop.

Her clever wordplay and pop melodies transform her emotional lyricism into something special. Just in time to add to your Christmas playlists too!

She has been touring around London extensively this year with Café Nero and Celebmix, and Amy Lawton is definitely one to look out for next year!
