#21 Naropa - Sunday In Mourning
Following their very first headline tour, Naropa have proven themselves masters of ingenious songwriting and upbeat bangers with the release of new single ‘Sunday in Mourning’. Formed by front man Joshua Mead and rhythm guitarist George Moore at school in Sittingbourne, the duo have transformed into innovative five-piece indie rock band Naropa, alongside Samuel Downs (lead guitar), Rosie Mossconti (bass) and drummer Francis Robertson-Marriott.
The song stays original whilst creatively integrating elements of the classic and well-loved indie sounds. It is immersed with intertwining, infectious and energized guitars, creating melodies that perfectly compliment Francis’ captivating drumming style.
This single is impressive, intricate and imaginative, showing that these passion-filled and stylish musicians have grown into a band with lots of potential and will certainly achieve great things if they continue down this path.
