#36 George Ogilvie - In Only a Day

Singer-songwriter, George Ogilvie, began writing his own material at the age of 18 and has gradually built up a loyal fanbase through his raw, natural and atmospheric song writing ability. Following the release of his recent tracks Tremonsine and Grave, George has blessed us with another heartfelt single, In Only a Day.

There’s a beautiful honesty to George’s music. In Only a Day starts with some punchy guitars and drums, giving the track a strong indie-rock feel. Blended with George’s pure vocals and lyricism, the track creates a brooding and distinctive tone throughout. Staying true to himself, lyrics such as “Lacking sober emotion” and “I’m in two minds my choice of action” further demonstrates George’s honest nature when it comes to song writing.

George’s talent hasn’t gone unnoticed, with previous features on CLASH magazine, BBC Introducing and support slots with fellow singer-songwriter, Jack Savoretti.

Alongside the single release, George’s highly anticipated debut album White Out was announced and is set to be released on 17 April.
