#141 James Alexander Bright - Sundown Feat. Fink

In this weeks artist blog feature, we are excited to introduce James Alexander Bright. The Hampshire based artist has recently released a new single, Sundown which features Fink, a London and Berlin-based singer, songwriter, guitarist and producer. Working as an illustrator by day James describes how visually creating all day long can take a toll on the senses, so he spends his evenings writing and creating songs. This creative duality is what guides James’ music to be both a visual and sonic voyage.

“ Evening is my quiet time; time for my ears. Invariably I’m inspired by the things that people and creatures do in the dark.” -
James Alexander Bright

James was first introduced to Fink by Will Saul at Berlin, London and New York-based record company !K&7. Sundown, was then created through collaboration with Fink after James sent over a folder of ideas, from this followed the instrumental, a beautifully executed chorus hook, and some lush Ry Cooder and Tommy Guerrero-esqe guitar swells. There’s a nostalgic calmness that runs through the Sundown, giving a true feel-good sense that things will actually work out when they feel like they really won’t, a wonderful piece of music yet again from James Alexander Bright

You can stream the Sundown here
