#179 - TikTok Trend Round-Up
It’s Corn - Also known as “The Corn Song”, this is the latest track to go viral on TikTok. Based on an original video by @recesstherapy, where a young boy talks about how much he loves corn, The Gregory Brothers created a song inspired by it. How to use it on TikTok? Play the track over a video of something that you really love - when the song says the line “for me, I really like corn” add a text overlay replacing “corn” with the thing you love. Tags: #cornsong
‘Police Runner’ TikTok Effect - This effect grew to over 10K videos overnight. And again, it’s simple. Select the filter and use the linked sound; then use text to make a joke about something that causes you problems when you do it (make it music related).
Everything Is Awesome - Start your text with “everything is awesome?” then state something that is not awesome: “What about [insert not awesome thing]” and overlay this text over a video. This is a quick and easy content idea - the “not awesome thing” you include could be something you struggle with / find frustrating as an artist (make it funny and relatable).
Elton John & Britney Spears ‘Hold Me Closer’ - The duo you never expected have made their own version of John’s 1971 hit, Tiny Dancer. And, you won’t be surprised to hear, it’s blown up on TikTok. Use this track for non-talking videos to increase your chance of appearing on users For You page, and don’t forget to tag #holdmecloser, #tinydancer, #britneyspears and #eltonjohn for it to appear.
Sarcastic Joke - This one is also super simple. Use text to make a sarcastic joke (perhaps relating to the music industry) and overlay this over a video of yourself pretending to laugh
