#25 Tom Prior - Need You Now
London-based Tom Prior has been busy working on his 19 Princes Project, comprising of 12 tracks in 12 months, and recently released Number 6: Need You Now. Working alongside the 279, he created this well crafted single, which was produced, mixed and filmed all on an £11 budget!
Drawing on influences from Kanye West, The Verve and Arctic Monkeys, Prior has been able to create a unique sound, combining a rock melody with an electric-pop beat.
His music is complimented with emotional lyrics that describe a difficult time and is now reaching out for that one person who he believes can help him: “I shouldn’t have you relied on you for nothing … but I need you now”.
Tom Prior is definitely one to keep an eye on this year. And you can listen to the track below!
