This documentary zones in on the legendary 1969 Harlem Cultural Festival, which celebrated African-American music and culture and promoted Black pride and unity. Plus, as you can probably imagine, the soundtrack is amazing!

It offers an honest and moving insight into the recording of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds' sixteenth studio album, ‘Skeleton Tree’ - an album Cave was mid-way through recording during the tragic death of his 15-year-old son. The film goes on to unpack the roles music can play during mourning.
Madonna: Truth or Dare (1991) - Directed by Alek Keshishian, this documentary chronicles the behind-the-scenes and on-stage life of Madonna, during her 1990 ‘Blond Ambition’ world tour. Controversial at the time for addressing many taboos surrounding sexuality, this documentary is groundbreaking in its capturing of a significant cultural turn.
