#71 Gotts Street Park feat. Pip Millet - Changes My Way

There’s something beautifully nostalgic about Changes My Way, the latest single from Gotts Street Park (featuring Pip Millett) and lifted from their EP “Volume Two”. The track stays true to their DIY ethos of soul music, early hip-hop and a throwback to an era of music being created and recorded from scratch. It’s originally raw in lyrics and emotion which is best described by Pip Millett herself as a “window into vulnerability”. This track is so hauntingly beautiful that you can’t just listen to it once and fully appreciate it. The production of this track is reminiscent of a time gone by, with such soul and meaning, it’s a rarity in today’s music landscape.

Having been releasing music for just over three years, Gotts Street Park have produced for an eye-catching list of collaborators, including Brits Critic’s Choice Winner Celeste, Yellow Days, Kali Uchis and Rejjie Snow, as well as releasing their own debut EP ‘Volume One’.

This is a testament to how a record should be produced and recorded, nothing beats the refreshingly organic nature of a live recording. You can feel every note, every word, every chord struck. It is a standout track on what is an incredibly well put together EP.
