#48 Josie Man - Just Me

Following the arrival of her debut EP “aLOVINGboothang”, South London’s Josie Man is back with new music. Her new single, Just Me, is a dreamy pop track that continues to display Josie’s impressive style of writing.

Just Me begins with some smooth synths that perfectly accompany Josie’s echoey and effortless vocals, leading to a punchy, light chorus - a song that seamlessly makes you happy. The relaxed nature of Josie’s writing and singing style is reminiscent of artists like Lily Allen.

Lyrically, we see Josie throw light on how she strives to be true to herself - “Don’t wanna be the face of a magazine, driving round in a limousine. Got better ways to spend my days, but maybe that’s just me. I’m trying to keep my identity”. The track feels like an honest, open and fun project by Josie.

I’m sure there’ll be lots more music from Josie Man in the future, so keep an ear to the ground!
