#233 - 5 Tips On Writing A Press Release

  1. Get to the point

A well-worded headline is the first thing your reader will read. Make sure your title sums up the who, what, when, where and why in one sentence.

  2. Timing is key

Send out press releases at least three weeks before the scheduled event for best results.

  3. Research

Look up your favourite artist's press releases and study them. Look at how it is structured as well as the language and imagery, and use it as a reference!

  4. Proofread

It's easy to get lost in what you've written, so get another person to proofread your release before you send it!

  5. PDF it

Send and save your press release in pdf format. Not only does it look professional, but it also cuts the file size and can be opened by all!
