#32 Seafret - Most of Us Are Strangers

Songwriting duo, Seafret, have released their first instalment of 2020, the title song from their forthcoming full-length studio album Most of Us Are Strangers. The new single is set to be released on 13th March and follows their successful debut LP, Tell Me It’s Real, with tracks such as Fall and Love Won’t Let Me Leave, showing off their soft vocals and delightful guitar arrangements, which continue to shine through on Most Of Us Are Strangers.

Their new single begins with a beautiful guitar plucking pattern that is accompanied by an echoing, atmospheric synth. The piano is also introduced very tenderly alongisde the lyrics, “Most of us are strangers”, stripping the song back to it’s purest. The emotive arrangement leads perfectly into a building chorus. As well as the instrumentation, the lyricism gives an honest and raw feeling to the track; “reach out when you’re feeling, tell me everything I need to know”.

Seafret are set to tour the UK this year, tickets can be found here.
