#39 Stu Larsen - Hurricane

Australian based singer-songwriter, Stu Larsen, releases his new track latest instalment, Hurricane . The latest instalment to his forthcoming third LP, Marigold.

Well known for his nomadic lifestyle, Stu Larsen appears to have been on a back-to-back global tour over the past 12 years or so. Whilst travelling the world, Stu still finds time to create new music. Possibly the most stunning from his recent releases, Hurricane shows Stu moving towards a more upbeat feel than usual. Swapping out his usual acoustic guitar plucks for some smooth, electric guitar lines - Hurricane is a fast paced and punchy track.

Hurricane’s lively atmosphere is also accompanied by some honest lyrics, that appear to be touching on a short-lived relationship - “I came into her life so unexpectedly” and “turned the relationship into such a rollercoaster”. The swift nature of this track supports these lyrics, showing that the relationship may have been too brief and hectic at times.

Overall, Stu Larsen has presented a beautiful piece of folk-pop that showcases a new style to keep his current selection of music fresh. The 11-track LP, Marigold is set to be released on 3 April 2020. Stu Larsen is set to tour later this year. Tickets can be found here.
